Our Notion project timeline template

While we built this Notion project timeline template, there was one mission: making sure that you won't forget any task or any other important detail within your project.

Using our project timeline template in Notion will help you organise yourself and your team's tasks.

Once you get the template, you can add all of your to-dos, you can categorise them, describe them, assign them and more.

Notion Project Timeline Template Tutorial

Name and label the steps

In the left side of the Notion project timeline template for freelancers, you are going to see two columns: "Name" and "Category". These are two of the most essential parts in the template, because with these two columns, you basically define what this step/to-do is all about. Make sure to add a suggestive name and a helpful category, though keep it short (in just a few words) because otherwise, the names are going to be too long and you will have to click on them in order to fully see what they're all about.

Describe and assign

The third column in our Notion project timeline template is related to describing what the step/task is about. Here you can write as much as you want. Moreover, we really suggest doing that. If you describe the task in more than 2 or 3 words, the person assigned to finish the task will know what to do without having to ask questions and waste more time for both themselves and for you. Speaking of the assignees, the fourth column invites you to type the names of the people that have to get the task done.

Due date and step status

The last two parts of the Notion project timeline template are about the delivery date and the status of the step. First of all, in the "Delivery day" section you can type either when you want the task to be finished, or you can type the date when it was actually finished (this option applies to cases when there's really no definitive due date). Lastly, you can have some fun ticking the boxes where the steps were done.

Frequently asked questions

No items found.
Why is this for free?
It's very simple. We're offering a Notion website builder.

Therefore, our strategy is pretty simple: we give out a lot more useful stuff for free to people than others do → people get to know about us. Some people will become paying customers, while others will become friends.

That's it. That's our philosophy.
Is it worth getting this? Why would I?
Hey, honestly? There are two ways to look at it:

1. The free version is very generous, so it costs nothing to try
2. We've spent hundreds of hours, so that you won't have to spend 10 hours writing these. Plus, imagine how much time we've saved the world: if 1,000 people download this, that's 10,000 hours saved (versus the 100+ we've spent).

Besides, it's in our interest to make this better. Got some feedback? We're happy to hear it.
How do I get this?
Go to the top of the page → click the coloured button. You'll be able to get download what we've presented on this page!
Are there going to be updates?
There sure are! And if you want to be updated, just get this (at least the generous freebie version), and you'll receive emails about upgrades we make to these.

We promise not to spam you — as another FAQ above suggests, we like to keep a tidy relationship.
